A pig doodle is one of the most satisfying things you can draw with a plain black pen: a round body, a curly tail and a snout are forgiving shapes, and they turn silly fast once you add a prop or two. These pages lean into that silliness on purpose, from a piglet in a teacup to a pig wearing a mud mask with cucumber slices over its eyes.
Below are twenty nine small scenes to doodle, ordered from the quickest sketches to the ones with a bit more going on. Each one works in a notebook with a fineliner and a couple of marker accents in pink and mint, so pick whichever pig makes you smile and start filling the page.
Using these images: free for personal projects such as printing, coloring, cards, journals and gifts. Handmade items that include them may be sold up to 30 pieces per design. More than that is commercial use and is not permitted, and neither is selling or sharing the images themselves or passing them off as your own. Please ask before any other use.
Start with the easiest pig in the whole list: a round oval body, two triangle ears, four short stick legs kicking out to the sides, and a puddle underneath drawn as a simple flat ellipse. Draw the piglet first in fineliner, then add the puddle shape around the legs so it reads as a splash rather than a flat lake.
Mint marker works well for a few splash droplets flying off the puddle, with pink used just for the inside of the ears and two round cheeks. If the legs end up too long and stiff, shorten them and round the feet so the piglet looks like it is mid jump rather than standing still.
This is a good one to warm up with since there is no background to plan, just the pig and the puddle. If you only have one marker colour on hand, mint alone for the mud and a plain pen cheek works just as well.
Keep the splash droplets small and uneven in size, that randomness is what sells the motion more than any careful arc.

Once the basic piglet shape feels easy, build on it with a flower crown. Draw the pig’s head first, a wide oval with small triangle ears, then sketch a thin curved band across the top of the head before adding the flowers so you know how much space you have to fill.
Five or six simple flowers, each just a circle with five little petal bumps, sit along that curved band with a couple of short leaf shapes tucked between them. Pink marker fills most of the petals and mint fills the leaves, keeping the flowers deliberately plain so the crown reads clearly at doodle size.
The common mistake here is cramming in too many tiny flowers until the crown turns into a smudge. Space four or five larger flowers evenly instead of ten small ones, and the whole thing stays readable even on a small page.
If you want a quicker version, draw just three flowers at the front of the crown and let the band disappear behind the ears on either side.
Palette: Soft Pink,Mint Green,Ink Black
This piglet curls into a comma shape rather than a round oval, which is the detail that makes sleep read clearly on a pig doodle. Draw the curled body first with the snout tucked near the front legs, then add a closed eye as a single curved line and a tiny curved mouth.
Build the straw nest around the pig last as a ring of short overlapping lines in varying lengths, fineliner for most of them and a few mint marker strands scattered through for colour. Leave the straw loose and scribbly rather than neat, since real straw never lies in tidy rows.
Pigs often end up looking stiff when the curl is too symmetrical, so let one side of the body sit a little higher than the other. A soft pink blush on the cheek and ear tip finishes it without needing more detail anywhere else.
For a faster version, skip the full nest and just draw a few straw lines underneath the pig instead of a complete ring.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
Look at a photo of a curled up cat or dog for the comma shaped body line if the pig curl feels awkward, the same curve works for any sleeping animal.
Give the standing pig a job to do: four straight little legs end in simple rounded rain boots instead of trotters, each boot just a rounded rectangle with a thin line marking the sole. Draw the body and head first, then add the boots last so you can adjust their size to the legs.
Mint marker fills all four boots to keep them matching, with maybe one small pink polka dot or heart on each boot for a bit of pattern. A few raindrops or a small puddle under the boots finishes the scene without needing a full background.
Boots often come out lopsided when drawn one at a time without reference to each other, so pencil in all four as light shapes before inking any of them. That way the back legs match the front ones in size and angle.
If mint markers are not on hand, plain pink boots with a thin black outline work just as well and still read clearly as rain boots.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
Scale is the fun part of this one: draw the apple noticeably larger than the pig’s own head, almost too big to hold, and the whole doodle gets funnier for it. Start with the apple as a simple rounded shape with a short stem and one leaf, then build the pig’s head and front legs around it as if the pig is hugging the apple with both trotters.
Pink marker fills the apple with a small mint leaf on top, while the pig stays mostly outline with just a blush of pink on the cheeks. A few short lines radiating from the apple suggest a bite already taken out of one side if you want extra charm.
The scale trick only works if the pig’s head stays smaller than the apple, so check that comparison before inking either shape fully. If the apple ends up too small, it just looks like a snack rather than a joke about size.
Try swapping the apple for a plum or a peach next time using the same basic round shape with a different stem and colour.
Palette: Soft Pink,Mint Green,Ink Black
Here the piglet sits inside a teacup instead of standing on the ground, so draw the cup first as a simple rounded shape with a small handle on one side and a thin ellipse for the rim. Fit the piglet’s body inside that rim with just the head, ears and front trotters showing over the edge.
Mint marker fills the cup itself, maybe with a thin pink stripe near the rim to echo a teacup pattern, and a small saucer underneath finishes the base. Keep the piglet’s expression calm and content rather than startled, since it is meant to look cosy in there rather than trapped.
The scale between cup and pig can go wrong fast if the cup is drawn too small to look believable, so sketch the piglet’s head size first and build the cup around it rather than the other way round. A little steam line or two above the cup adds warmth without any extra pig detail needed.
If you want a quicker version, skip the saucer and handle and just draw the cup as a plain rounded vessel.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
Balloons give a pig doodle a nice bit of upward motion, so draw the balloon string first as a single curving line from the pig’s trotter up to where the balloon will sit, then add the balloon as a simple rounded shape at the top of that line. The string naturally pulls the pig’s head and ears slightly upward as if it is looking at the balloon.
Pink marker fills the balloon itself with a small highlight left unfilled near the top to suggest shine, and a short triangle knot finishes the bottom where the string attaches. The pig’s body can stay a plain standing pose since the balloon carries most of the personality in this one.
A balloon drawn too perfectly round can look stiff, so let the outline wobble slightly the way a real inflated balloon does. If the string comes out too straight it reads as rigid, so give it one gentle curve rather than a ruler line.
For a different mood next time, try a small cluster of three balloons in pink, mint and a plain outline instead of just one.
Palette: Soft Pink,Mint Green,Ink Black
Rolling is about the angle of the body, so draw the pig on its back or tipped sideways with legs up in the air rather than standing square on the ground. Start with an oval tipped at a diagonal, add the ears and snout pointing off to one side, then the legs kicking upward in different directions to suggest movement.
A patch of grass underneath, drawn as short mint marker blades of varying height, grounds the pose and makes the tipped angle read clearly as rolling rather than falling. A few small motion lines near the body can reinforce the tumbling feel if the pose alone does not read clearly enough.
Tipped poses often look awkward if the belly and back still line up straight, so curve the spine slightly along the direction of the roll. That one curve does more to sell the motion than any number of extra lines.
If grass blades feel fiddly, a simple scribbled mint patch works just as well as individual blades at this size.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
Bubbles are the star of this scene, so build them from simple overlapping circles of different sizes rather than one solid blob, piling them up around the pig’s neck and shoulders like a collar. Draw the pig’s head and front trotters resting on the rim of a simple tub shape first, then layer the bubble circles over the body last.
Mint marker fills some bubbles while others stay as plain outlines, which keeps the pile looking light and airy rather than heavy. A few tiny bubbles floating off to one side above the tub add a nice finishing touch without much extra effort.
Overlapping circles can turn muddy fast if every one gets outlined fully, so let some circles trail off into just a curved line where they meet another bubble. That gap is what keeps the pile looking soft instead of solid.
Try a small pink rubber duck floating beside the pig next time for an easy variation on the same bath scene.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
Keep the mother pig’s eye level low and steady since she is the base of the whole doodle, a simple standing pose with four short legs, while the piglet perches higher up on her back with its own small eye level tipped slightly down toward the viewer. That eye level difference between the two pigs is what makes the piggyback read clearly rather than looking like two pigs just standing side by side.
Draw the mother first as the larger, calmer shape, then add the piglet sitting on her back with its front trotters braced forward for balance. A small curl for each tail and a touch of pink on both sets of cheeks ties the pair together.
The size difference between the two pigs needs to stay obvious or the scene reads confused, so make the mother at least a third larger than the piglet in both body and head. If the piglet slides visually, add a little dip in the mother’s back line right where it sits.
A quick version skips the legs on the far side entirely and just implies them with the body outline.
Palette: Soft Pink,Mint Green,Ink Black
This is the first scene with a real horizon, so decide where the light comes from before inking anything: a sun drawn in one corner with a few short rays sets the direction for any shadow you choose to add under the pig’s feet. Draw the standing pig first, then the straw hat perched between the ears, tipped at a small angle rather than sitting perfectly flat.
A simple horizon line and a scattering of mint marker grass tufts behind the pig turn the page into a tiny field without much extra work. One or two tall wheat stalks drawn as thin lines with small seed heads add context without crowding the pig itself.
Hats often float above the head if the brim is drawn too high, so let the brim overlap the top of the ears slightly for it to look properly worn. Keep any shadow short and simple, just a flattened oval under the feet, so it does not pull focus from the pig.
If a full field feels like too much, a single wheat stalk beside the pig implies the same setting with far less drawing.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
Give the pig something to hold and the whole pose changes: sit it upright on its hind legs with both front trotters resting on an open book held slightly tilted toward its snout. Draw the book first as two simple rectangles meeting at a spine, then build the pig’s sitting pose around it so the trotters land naturally on the pages.
Mint marker fills the book cover while the pages themselves stay white with just a few short lines suggesting text. A pair of small reading glasses perched on the snout is an easy extra touch if you want the pig to look especially studious.
Sitting poses can look stiff if the pig balances too symmetrically, so let one hind leg peek out slightly further than the other. That small asymmetry is often what separates a flat doodle from a relaxed looking one.
For a quicker version, draw the book closed and tucked under one trotter instead of open, which needs far fewer lines. If you enjoy drawing animals with little props like this, the hamster doodle ideas use a similar approach with tiny accessories.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
Donuts give you an easy excuse to practice a clean circle with a hole in the middle, something that trips up a lot of doodles when rushed. Draw the donut as two concentric circles first, pink marker filling the ring between them for icing, then build the pig’s head and front trotters around it as if holding the donut up to its mouth.
A scattering of small dots or short dashes across the icing in mint marker suggests sprinkles without needing to draw each one as a separate shape. Keep the pig’s mouth open just slightly, a small curved line, to show it mid bite rather than simply holding the donut.
The inner hole of the donut is the part most likely to go wrong, since an off centre circle makes the whole shape look lopsided. Draw the outer circle, mark the centre point lightly, then draw the inner circle around that mark rather than guessing freehand.
Swap the donut for a slice of cake next time using the same basic round shape with a wedge cut instead.
Palette: Soft Pink,Mint Green,Ink Black
Lying flat changes the pig’s whole silhouette, so draw the body as a long stretched oval rather than a round one, front and back legs splayed out to the sides in a relaxed sunbathing pose. Round sunglasses sit over the eyes as two simple circles joined by a thin bridge line, drawn last once the head shape is settled.
The beach towel underneath can carry the mint and pink colour story with simple alternating stripes, which also gives the flat pose something to rest against visually. A tiny drink with a straw propped beside the pig is an easy optional extra if there is room on the page.
Stretched poses look stranger than round ones while you are drawing them, so it helps to compare the length of the body to the length of one back leg: the body should run roughly twice that leg length for the stretch to read as relaxed rather than distorted. If stripes feel fiddly, a solid mint towel with one pink border line works just as well.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
This one pairs nicely with the apple idea earlier but asks for a different shape entirely: the carrot is long and tapered rather than round, so draw it first as a simple triangle with a slightly curved edge and a small cluster of leafy green lines at the top. Build the piglet’s trotters around the carrot’s middle as if hugging it close to the chest.
Mint marker fills the leafy top while the carrot body itself can stay outline only or get a very light pink wash if you want extra warmth, since orange is not part of this colour pair. Keep the piglet’s expression soft and content, eyes closed or nearly closed, to match the gentle hugging pose.
Tapered shapes like this carrot often end up too straight and stiff, so let the sides curve very slightly rather than drawing them as perfectly straight lines. A carrot with a touch of bend looks more hand drawn and less like a traffic cone.
For variety next time, swap the carrot for a long leek or a bunch of mint coloured celery using the same basic tapered shape.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
Cold weather calls for a change in light and mood from the sunny field idea earlier: keep the light flat and even here rather than directional, since overcast snowy days have no strong shadow to draw. Draw the standing pig first, then wrap a simple scarf around the neck as two curved lines with a short dangling tail on one side.
Mint marker fills the scarf with a few thin pink stripes for pattern, and small dot or dash marks scattered around the pig suggest falling snow without much extra work. A light scribble of snow on the ground under the feet finishes the setting.
Scarves can look flat if drawn as a single straight band, so let the fabric dip slightly at the front where it hangs loosely rather than sitting perfectly level all the way round. If snow dots feel too plain, a few small irregular snowflake shapes mixed in add variety.
Try a knitted hat with a pom pom next time instead of the scarf for a different winter accessory on the same basic standing pig.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
Two characters sharing one object is an easy way to add a bit of story, so place the two piglets facing each other with the corn cob held between them, each gripping one end with a front trotter. Draw the corn cob first as a simple oval with small bump lines across it for kernels, then build each piglet’s head and body on either side.
Pink marker fills both sets of cheeks while mint fills a leaf or husk peeling back from one end of the corn. Keep the two piglets slightly different in pose, one leaning forward eagerly and one sitting back, so the pair does not look like a mirrored copy of the same shape.
Symmetry is the main trap here: if both piglets are drawn identically facing each other, the scene can look stiff rather than playful. Vary an ear angle or a leg position between them to break that mirror effect.
A simpler version has just one piglet holding the corn cob with both trotters instead of two piglets sharing it.
Palette: Soft Pink,Mint Green,Ink Black
A wheelbarrow introduces a bit of real perspective: draw the single front wheel slightly larger and lower than the back handles, since it sits closer to the eye level of whoever is pushing it, which gives the whole shape a sense of depth even in a simple doodle. Draw the wheelbarrow’s tub and wheel first, then settle the pig inside sitting or lying with legs tucked in.
Mint marker fills the tub of the wheelbarrow while the wheel stays mostly outline with a few spoke lines inside the circle. A small pile of mint leaves or pink flowers beside the pig inside the tub adds a nice touch if there is room.
Wheelbarrows often look flat if the wheel and the handles are drawn at the same height, so keep the wheel lower and the two handles rising at an angle toward the back. That angle alone does most of the work of suggesting the correct perspective.
For a quicker version, skip the spoke lines inside the wheel and leave it as a plain filled circle.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
Small details carry this whole scene, so keep the pig’s pose simple and calm, standing or sitting still, and let the butterfly be the one moving part. Draw the pig fully first, then add the butterfly perched right on the tip of the snout as two simple wing shapes, one slightly larger than the other, joined by a thin body line.
Pink fills one wing and mint fills the other for a bit of colour contrast between the two sides, with a few small dot patterns added if there is room. Keep the pig’s eyes gently crossed or glancing down toward the snout to show it is aware of the visitor.
Butterflies often come out lopsided when both wings are drawn the same size, so make the upper wing on each side noticeably larger than the lower wing for a more natural silhouette. If a butterfly feels fiddly, a small ladybird on the snout works as an easier swap using the same basic idea.
Palette: Soft Pink,Mint Green,Ink Black
Movement needs a clear line of action running through the whole body, so sketch one loose diagonal line first from the top of the head down through the hips before drawing anything else, then build the dancing pig’s shape along that line. One front trotter lifts up while the back legs cross slightly, with the body leaning into the motion rather than standing square.
A few short curved motion lines near the lifted trotter and a small musical note or two floating nearby in pink and mint finish the energy of the scene. Keep the ears flopping slightly to one side to reinforce the sense of movement rather than drawing them stiff and upright.
Dancing poses fall flat fast if the pig still looks like it is just standing with one leg raised, so exaggerate the lean of the body more than feels natural at first. A bit too much lean usually reads just right once inked.
Try the same lean and lifted leg on a different animal next time to see how the same trick carries across subjects.
Palette: Soft Pink,Mint Green,Ink Black
A tutu adds a ring of fabric around the middle, so draw the pig’s body first in a simple standing pose, then layer the tutu as a scalloped or ruffled band circling the waist, drawn with short overlapping curved lines rather than one smooth edge. That ruffled edge is what separates a tutu from a plain skirt shape.
Pink marker fills the whole tutu while a thin mint ribbon tied at the front in a small bow adds a bit of contrast. Keep the pig standing on its back legs if you want extra charm, front trotters raised slightly as if mid curtsy, though a plain standing pose works just as well.
Ruffled edges can turn into a messy scribble if every curve gets the same size, so vary the ruffle sizes slightly around the band for a more natural look. If a full standing pose feels ambitious, a sitting pig wearing the same tutu is an easier starting point.
Palette: Soft Pink,Mint Green,Ink Black
Cakes are a good chance to practice stacking simple shapes cleanly: draw two or three rounded rectangles of decreasing width stacked on top of each other for the tiers, then add a few thin candle lines with tiny flame shapes on top before bringing the pig in to hold or sit beside it. Working the cake out fully before adding the pig keeps the proportions between them easier to judge.
Pink marker fills one tier while mint fills another for a layered look, with a scattering of small dot sprinkles across the top tier finishing the decoration. The pig can stand proudly behind the cake with both trotters resting on the table edge, or sit in front gazing up at the candles.
Stacked tiers often come out leaning if each layer is not centred over the one below it, so check that the middle of each tier lines up with a light vertical guideline before inking. If a full three tier cake feels like too much, one simple round cake with a single candle does the job with far less drawing.
For a cake focused page, the happy birthday drawings collection has plenty more cake and party ideas to pair with this one.
Palette: Soft Pink,Mint Green,Ink Black
This scene only needs the pig’s head and front trotters, which makes it a good one to practice cropping a pose naturally rather than drawing the whole body. Draw a simple rectangular barn door first, slightly ajar, then fit the piglet’s head poking through the gap with one trotter resting on the lower edge of the door.
Mint marker fills the barn door itself, perhaps with a thin pink heart cut out near the top as a simple barn door detail, and a bit of straw scattered at the base ties it to the farmyard setting. Keep the piglet’s expression curious, eyes wide and ears perked, as if checking who is outside.
Cropped poses like this can look awkward if the door gap is too narrow or too wide for the head, so sketch the head size first and then draw the door opening to match it rather than guessing the gap in advance.
If a full barn door feels like too much structure, a simple stable half door with the pig’s head over the top rail is a quicker variation on the same idea.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
Compare this sleeping pose to the straw nest piglet from earlier in the list: here the pig lies fully stretched rather than curled, which calls for a longer, flatter body shape pressed into a soft pillow underneath. Draw the pillow first as a puffy rounded rectangle with a slight dip in the middle where the pig’s weight presses down, then lay the pig’s body into that dip.
Pink marker fills the pillow with a thin mint trim along the edge, and a closed eye plus a small zzz shape floating above the snout confirms the pig is fast asleep. Keep the legs relaxed and slightly splayed rather than tucked neatly, since a truly sleeping animal rarely looks tidy.
The dip in the pillow is easy to forget, and without it the pig looks like it is floating above the surface rather than resting on it. Draw the pillow’s outline first, then curve the top edge inward slightly right where the body will sit.
Swap the zzz for a small dream bubble with a tiny image inside next time for extra personality.
Palette: Soft Pink,Mint Green,Ink Black
Give the pig a small task and the pose needs real purpose: tilt the watering can forward in one trotter with a few curved lines falling from the spout to show water pouring onto a small plant or flower bed below. Draw the watering can first as a simple rounded body with a spout and handle, then build the pig’s standing pose around holding it at the right height.
Mint marker fills the watering can while pink fills a small cluster of flowers growing in the spot being watered, tying the whole scene together visually. Keep the pouring water as just three or four curved lines rather than a solid stream, which keeps the doodle light and quick.
The tilt of the can is the detail most likely to go wrong, since a can held level does not pour at all. Angle the spout down clearly before adding any water lines, and the whole action reads correctly straight away.
For a simpler version, skip the flower bed and just show the water lines falling onto plain ground.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
Baskets work well for grouping a pig with a cluster of flowers without needing a full garden scene. Draw the basket first as a simple woven looking rectangle with a curved rim and a small handle arching over the top, then fit the piglet sitting inside among a handful of daisies tucked around its sides.
Keep the daisies simple, a round centre with five or six petal shapes, drawn larger than real daisies so a handful of them fills the basket without turning into a mass of tiny marks. Mint fills a few leaves between the flowers while the petals themselves stay white with just a thin pink outline or centre dot.
Baskets can look flat if the weave texture is overdone, so a few short diagonal lines along the front face are enough to suggest woven material without covering the whole shape in texture. If daisies feel fiddly, three larger flowers read just as well as six small ones at this size.
This pairs nicely with other flower filled doodle pages if you enjoy the pink junk journal colour palette.
Palette: Soft Pink,Mint Green,Ink Black
This idea needs a bit more planning than most on the list since the dandelion seeds scatter in a specific direction, away from the pig’s mouth, which gives the whole page a sense of movement without the pig itself needing to move at all. Draw the pig’s head first with cheeks puffed out slightly and mouth pursed, then add the dandelion stem and seed head positioned just in front of the snout.
Mint marker fills the stem and a few leaves at its base, while the seed head itself stays mostly outline, drawn as a loose round cluster of thin lines rather than a solid shape. A scattering of small floating seed shapes drifting away from the flower, each just a tiny line with a few radiating threads, carries the eye across the page.
The seeds are the part most likely to overcrowd the doodle if every single one gets drawn in detail, so keep five or six larger floating seeds rather than a dozen tiny ones. That restraint keeps the breeze feeling light rather than busy.
If a full dandelion feels fiddly, a simple round seed head with no visible threads, just a soft fuzzy outline, reads just as well at this size.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
This is the most detailed idea on the list, so take it slowly and build it in clear stages: draw the pig’s relaxed reclining pose first, head tilted back slightly as if lying on a lounge chair, then add a flat mud mask shape covering the face, leaving only two round gaps where the cucumber slices will sit over the eyes.
Mint marker fills the mud mask itself for a spa inspired colour rather than brown, and each cucumber slice is drawn as a simple circle with a thin outer rind line and a few seed marks in the centre, pink used sparingly for a small headband or towel wrapped around the ears. A relaxed closed mouth and loose limbs finish the pampered mood.
The gaps for the cucumber slices are the trickiest part, since drawing the mask first without planning them can leave no room for the eyes. Sketch two light circles for the eye areas before adding the mask shape around them, then place the cucumber slices directly over those circles once the mask is inked.
For a simpler version, skip the cucumbers and just show the mud mask with two closed eyes peeking through.
Palette: Mint Green,Soft Pink,Ink Black
Close the list with a pig fully in motion, trotting along with a woven basket held in its mouth or looped over one front trotter, the handle arching up between the pig’s head and the basket body. Draw the pig walking or trotting first, one front leg forward and one back leg lifted, then add the basket hanging naturally from wherever it is held.
Mint marker fills the basket while a pink and white checked cloth peeks out from the top, with a baguette or a small bunch of flowers poking out as a nice optional extra. A couple of short motion lines trailing behind the back legs reinforce the sense of a pig on its way somewhere.
Walking poses lean on having at least one leg clearly forward and one clearly back, so avoid drawing all four legs in the same position or the pig will look like it is standing still while somehow holding a basket. Check that diagonal leg relationship before inking the final lines.
For more scenes with little characters carrying things on the move, the travel doodle ideas use a similar walking pose with different props.

What to Do Next
Pick one pig that made you smile, grab your fineliner and the pink and mint markers, and start with the outline before any colour goes down. A plain page in a dot grid notebook is all you need to finish a happy little pig today.
Frequently Asked Questions
What pens work best for a pig doodle?
A black fineliner in a fine tip, around 0.3 to 0.5 millimetres, gives clean confident lines for the outline. Add pink and mint dual tip markers for the accent colours, and a white gel pen if you want small highlights on a darker background.
How do I make pig doodles look less stiff?
Round every shape rather than using straight edges, since pigs are made almost entirely of soft curves from the snout to the belly. Vary leg positions slightly rather than drawing them perfectly symmetrical, which gives each doodle a more relaxed, lived in feel.
Do I need to draw a full body every time?
No, several of these ideas only need the head, ears and front trotters, like a piglet peeking through a barn door. Cropping the pose naturally at the shoulders or chest is a quick way to simplify any pig doodle without losing its personality.
What if I only have one marker colour on hand?
Pick whichever colour feels most useful for that particular scene, mint for leafy or watery details and pink for cheeks, flowers or fabric. A single accent colour on top of the black outline still reads clearly and keeps the page from looking unfinished.
How small can these pig doodles be drawn?
Most of these work comfortably at two to three inches across in a standard notebook, since the shapes stay simple at that size. Smaller than that, details like cucumber slices or daisy petals get harder to keep clean, so size up slightly for the busier ideas.
