This set of mother’s day gift tags printable sheets gives you 22 full pages of tags to dress up gifts for mothers, grandmothers and any woman who has mothered you in her own way. Expect scalloped tags, round tags, luggage tags, ovals, hearts, squares, arches and ticket labels, each one carrying a small scene of flowers, tea things, sewing notions or garden pleasures and a short greeting already printed on.
Print the sheets on printable sticker paper if you want the tags to peel and stick straight onto a box or bag, or use plain matte paper and attach them with a glue stick or a little washi tape. Print at actual size (turn off any ‘fit to page’ scaling), then cut around each tag leaving a thin white edge so the ink does not look cropped.
Using these images: free for personal projects such as printing, coloring, cards, journals and gifts. Handmade items that include them may be sold up to 30 pieces per design. More than that is commercial use and is not permitted, and neither is selling or sharing the images themselves or passing them off as your own. Please ask before any other use.
Garden Flowers and Tea
Starting the set off is a trio built for a first gift: a scalloped tag with a pink carnation reading ‘With Love’, a round tag with a teacup for ‘For You’ and a luggage tag with a sprig of lavender simply reading ‘Thank You’.
Keep all three together on a cake box or jar of jam for a gift that feels gathered rather than thrown together. If you print on sticker paper, the luggage tag works especially well stuck flat across the knot of a ribbon instead of threaded through it.
Peonies, perfume and a strawberry sum up a particular kind of mother, the one who loves a dressing table as much as a garden. This sheet holds an oval tag with a bunch of peonies (‘Happy Mother’s Day’), a round tag with a perfume bottle (‘For You’), a ticket label with a strawberry (‘Sweet Treats’) and a square tag with a garden hat (‘With Love’).
Cut the oval and round tags with small curved scissors for the smoothest edge, since a craft knife can be fussy on tight curves. Pair this sheet with the next one if the gift includes both flowers and something she can wear.
Roses, a watering can and a sewing thimble share one sheet: a heart-shaped tag with roses (‘With Love’), a round tag with a watering can (‘Happy Mother’s Day’) and a rectangular label with a sewing thimble (‘For You’), each ready to cut out and attach to a gift.
Vintage Keepsakes
This one leans into the things she keeps on a dressing table or a tea tray: a luggage tag with a vintage handbag (‘For You’), a round tag with lily of the valley (‘Happy Mother’s Day’), an arched tag with a teapot (‘With Love’) and a scalloped label with a sprig of mint (‘Thank You’).
If you are making a junk journal page rather than wrapping a gift, this foursome sits well along one strip, mixing shapes so the eye has somewhere new to land on each tag. For a quick version, just the handbag and teapot tags are enough to signal the whole theme.
Tender and a little sentimental, this sheet gives you a round tag with a mother bird and chicks in a nest (‘With Love’), a scalloped tag with a tulip (‘Happy Mother’s Day’) and an oval tag with a pearl necklace (‘For You’), all suited to a grandmother’s gift.
A hand mirror, a spool of thread, a cupcake and a ripe peach make an unexpected but charming set: a round tag (‘For You’), a luggage tag (‘Thank You’), a square tag (‘Sweet Treats’) and a ticket label (‘With Love’).
These four suit a care package more than a single gift, since each one points to something different, a treat, a notion, a small vanity. Write a date on the back of the peach tag if the gift marks a particular day, since the front stays free of writing lines.
Magnolia, a basket of lemons and a floral apron bring a sunny kitchen feel to this sheet: a round tag with a magnolia (‘Happy Mother’s Day’), a scalloped tag with a basket of lemons (‘For You’) and a luggage tag with a floral apron (‘With Love’).
Quiet Comforts
For a mother who loves a slow afternoon, this sheet holds an oval tag with a hydrangea in a vase (‘With Love’), a round tag with a book and reading glasses (‘For You’), a rectangular label with a hen and chick (‘Happy Mother’s Day’) and a square tag with a candle (‘Thank You’).
Try printing this sheet on plain paper and gluing the tags onto brown kraft gift bags, where the soft hydrangea colours sit especially well. It also pairs nicely with the magnolia sheet above if the gift includes both a book and something from the garden.
A daisy chain, a sun hat and a garden bench suit a gift tied to time outdoors: a heart-shaped tag (‘With Love’), a round tag (‘For You’) and an arched tag (‘Happy Mother’s Day’), each cut out ready to thread onto ribbon or lay flat on a flower pot.
Berries, a butterfly, a sweet pea flower and a jam jar bring together four small pleasures on one sheet: a luggage tag with a cake slice with berries (‘Sweet Treats’), a round tag with a butterfly (‘With Love’), an oval tag with a sweet pea (‘For You’) and a ticket label with a jam jar (‘Thank You’).
The jam jar tag is sized to wrap right around the neck of an actual jar of preserves, so print that one on sticker paper even if the rest go on plain paper. If you are making a card instead, the cake slice tag glues neatly onto the front as a single accent.
Garden and Kitchen
Soft and homely, this sheet gives you a round tag with a mother duck and ducklings (‘With Love’), a scalloped tag with a sprig of rosemary (‘Thank You’) and a luggage tag with a knitting basket (‘For You’), fitting for a grandmother who gardens or knits.
A camellia, a lace fan, a lipstick and a tea tin give this sheet a slightly dressier feel: a round tag (‘Happy Mother’s Day’), a square tag (‘With Love’), a ticket label (‘For You’) and an oval tag (‘Thank You’).
If you are assembling a junk journal spread, these four shapes vary enough that you can run them in a single row along the bottom of a page without any two looking alike. For a gift, the tea tin tag is sized to sit flat on the lid of an actual tin.
A ranunculus, a pair of slippers and a cozy cardigan make a soft, comforting set: a scalloped tag (‘With Love’), a round tag (‘For You’) and a luggage tag (‘Happy Mother’s Day’), well suited to a gift meant for staying in rather than going out.
For the mother who is happiest with soil under her nails, this sheet holds a round tag with an orchid in a pot (‘Happy Mother’s Day’), a luggage tag with a pair of garden gloves (‘With Love’), an arched tag with a bird bath (‘For You’) and a square tag with a honeybee (‘Thank You’).
Stick the garden gloves tag right onto an actual pair of gloves as the gift wrap itself, no box needed. This sheet pairs well with the green vintage stickers set if the gift also includes garden tools.
Sentimental Keepsakes
A forget-me-not, a locket and a vintage brooch make a quietly sentimental trio: a heart-shaped tag (‘With Love’), a round tag (‘For You’) and a scalloped tag (‘Happy Mother’s Day’), well suited to a gift that is itself a keepsake rather than something used up.
A rose bush, a picnic basket, cherry blossom and a bowl of cherries bring a full garden afternoon onto one sheet: a round tag (‘Happy Mother’s Day’), a luggage tag (‘With Love’), an oval tag (‘For You’) and a ticket label (‘Sweet Treats’).
This set reads well printed small and scattered loose in the bottom of a gift box, almost like confetti, rather than attached to anything in particular. Keep a few spare if you plan to use the same sheet across several gifts this season.
An embroidery hoop, a pincushion and a button jar suit a gift for anyone who sews: a round tag (‘With Love’), a scalloped tag (‘For You’) and an oval tag (‘Thank You’), each small enough to tuck inside a sewing box as well as onto a wrapped gift. Pair this trio with the printable gift tags set for an everyday option once the holiday is over.
Garden and Kitchen Encore
A vase of anemones, a cookbook, a rolling pin and a bundt cake round out the baking side of the set: a luggage tag (‘Happy Mother’s Day’), a round tag (‘For You’), a square tag (‘With Love’) and a ticket label (‘Sweet Treats’).
If the gift is a homemade cake, the bundt cake tag is the obvious one to attach directly to the plate or box. For a quick card insert, just the anemones tag and the cookbook tag side by side say enough.
A mother cat and kitten, a violet and a garden swing make a gentle trio for a grandmother who loves pets and gardens equally: a round tag (‘With Love’), a scalloped tag (‘For You’) and a luggage tag (‘Happy Mother’s Day’), each ready to cut with a thin white border left on.
A jasmine sprig, a lemon tart, a sewing machine and a powder compact give this sheet real variety: an oval tag (‘With Love’), a round tag (‘Sweet Treats’), a rectangular label (‘For You’) and a square tag (‘Thank You’).
Use plain paper and glue for the sewing machine tag if it is going onto a fabric gift bag, since sticker adhesive does not always hold well on fabric. The lemon tart tag works nicely on a card for someone who bakes, paired with watercolor fruit tutorial ideas if you want to add your own painted fruit too.
Garden Finale
A hummingbird, a geranium pot and a cottage door with flowers close the garden theme on a warm note: a heart-shaped tag (‘With Love’), a round tag (‘For You’) and an arched tag (‘Happy Mother’s Day’), each suited to a final flourish on a gift or the last page of a journal spread.
The last sheet in the set brings everything home with a round tag with a dahlia (‘Happy Mother’s Day’), a luggage tag with a pair of teacups (‘With Love’), a scalloped tag with a ladybird (‘For You’) and a ticket label with a bar of flower soap (‘Thank You’).
Save this sheet for the gift you most want to feel finished, since the teacup pair and the soap tag both work beautifully stuck straight to a wrapped box without any extra ribbon. For more ideas on handmade cards to go alongside, the watercolor cards for Mother’s Day set is a natural next stop, as is the Mother’s Day junk journal set for a bigger project.
What to Do Next
Print the sheets you need, cut them out with a thin white edge, and start matching tags to gifts, cards or journal pages as you wrap this year’s Mother’s Day gifts.
Frequently Asked Questions
What paper works best for printing these gift tags?
Printable sticker paper gives you tags that peel and stick straight on, while matte cardstock suits tags you plan to glue or tie on. Either way, choose matte over glossy so the watercolour colours stay soft rather than looking plastic.
What printer settings should I use?
Print at actual size with scaling turned off, not ‘fit to page’, so the tags come out true to the size they were designed at. Set the quality to high or best if your printer offers it, which keeps the thin ink outlines crisp.
How do I cut out tags with curved or scalloped edges?
Small detail scissors handle scalloped and curved edges more easily than a craft knife, since you can turn the paper as you cut. Leave a thin white border around each tag rather than cutting hard against the ink line.
Can I attach these tags without ribbon or string?
Yes, every tag in this set is designed to glue or stick flat, so you never need ribbon, string or a hole punch. Sticker paper tags press straight onto a box lid or the top of a jar, and glued tags sit flat on any wrapped gift.
Can I write a personal note on these tags?
Yes, the front stays clear for the artwork and greeting, so write any name, date or wish on the back before sticking or gluing it down. This also keeps the front looking finished if the tag is photographed or kept as a keepsake.
