Table of Contents
These green vintage stickers gather a whole spring garden and home into one soft, leafy color family: ferns uncurling, old garden tools, jadeite glass, frogs on lily pads and houseplants on windowsills. There are 26 sheets in all, each one its own small corner of the garden shed, the greenhouse bench or the kitchen dresser, so you can pick exactly the mood a page needs.
Print the sheets on printable sticker paper if you want to peel and stick straight into a journal or planner, or print on plain paper and use a glue stick instead. Either way, print at actual size with no scaling, then cut around each piece leaving a thin white edge so the ink outline stays crisp.
Using these images: free for personal projects such as printing, coloring, cards, journals and gifts. Handmade items that include them may be sold up to 30 pieces per design. More than that is commercial use and is not permitted, and neither is selling or sharing the images themselves or passing them off as your own. Please ask before any other use.
Ferns and Fronds
Unfurling fronds set the tone for the whole set: a maidenhair fern, a sword fern, a curled fiddlehead, a single fern frond, a fern in a small pot and a fern tucked inside a glass wardian case.
These suit the first page of a nature journal or the border of a planner week, and they pair well with the potting shed pages if you want a whole spread built around green growing things.
A green watering can, a trowel, a hand fork, a pair of shears, a garden kneeler and a small wheelbarrow bring the potting bench straight onto the page, one tool to a sticker so you can mix and match them around a spread.
Herbs and Garden Beds
Print this one on plain paper and glue it in rather than using sticker stock, since the small pots sit nicely flat against a recipe card or a page of garden notes without the stiffness of sticker backing showing through.
The sheet holds a basil pot, a mint sprig, a parsley bunch, a sage sprig, a thyme pot and a bay branch, six kitchen herbs in their own little pots and bundles.
Leave the thin white border when you cut these out, especially around the curved rim of the jadeite bowl and the neck of the perfume bottle, since that sliver of white is what keeps the fine ink line from looking cut into.
A green bottle, a jadeite bowl, a green glass jar, a green vase, a green glass fishing float and a green perfume bottle fill the sheet, a quiet still life of glass for any vintage spread.
A cabbage, a pea pod, an artichoke, a cucumber, a lettuce head and a bundle of green beans turn a page of recipes or a market list into something worth keeping, six vegetables straight from a kitchen garden.
Leaves and Houseplants
An oak leaf, a maple leaf, a ginkgo leaf, a fig leaf, an ivy leaf and a monstera leaf give you six shapes worth of filler for the edges of any page, perfect for tucking around a photo or a pressed flower.
These work well scattered down the side of a planner week to mark a watering day, or grouped together across the top of a page as a little windowsill of their own: a pothos, a snake plant, a fiddle leaf fig, a rubber plant, a peace lily and a spider plant, six houseplants in simple pots.
Pair this sheet with the Woodland Ferns stickers for a full greenhouse spread, since a glass cloche, a seed tray, a terracotta pot, a plant mister, a potting bench and a cold frame cover every surface of the bench without a single fern repeated.
Birds and Wildlife
A green parrot, a parakeet, a greenfinch, a hummingbird, a green woodpecker and a lovebird give the garden its own small flock, six birds you can scatter across a nature journal page.
Cut the handle of the green mixer and the spout of the kettle with small scissors rather than a craft knife, since those thin parts are easiest to round off by hand.
The sheet holds a green enamel pot, a green mixer, a green tea tin, a green mug, a green kettle and a green bread bin, six pieces for a cosy kitchen page.
A moss ball, a mossy log, a sprig of lichen, a mushroom growing on moss, a small fairy ring and a moss covered stone bring the damp, quiet corner of the garden onto the page, six forest floor pieces in all.
Frogs and Garden Tales
Give the five minute version a try: print just this sheet, cut out the frog prince with his tiny crown, and stick him alone on the front of a card for someone who needs a small reason to smile.
A tree frog, a toad sitting on a stone, a frog on a lily pad, a frog prince with a crown, a bullfrog and a frog holding an umbrella make up the rest of the sheet, six characters from the pond.
A ball topiary, a spiral topiary, a heart shaped topiary, a cone topiary, a clipped boxwood hedge and a topiary in a pot give a formal little garden corner to any page, six shaped greens side by side.
Fruit and Garden Furniture
Print these on sticker paper rather than plain paper if you plan to use them on gift wrap, since the peel and stick backing survives folding and taping far better than a glued edge does.
A green apple, a pear, a lime, a kiwi, a bunch of green grapes and a gooseberry round out a small orchard of six fruits, all in the same cool green family as the rest of the set.
A green bench, a bistro chair, a garden table, a garden swing, a deck chair and a parasol furnish a whole page of outdoor afternoons, six pieces of seating and shade for a summer spread.
These work beautifully along the bottom edge of an envelope or across the top of a recipe card: a green velvet ribbon, a gingham napkin, a checked tablecloth swatch, a lace trim, a green button and a spool of green thread.
Succulents and Bugs
An aloe, a jade plant, a hen and chicks, a zebra cactus, a burro tail and an agave fill the sheet with six plump little plants, perfect for a planner margin or a plant care log.
A grasshopper, a green beetle, a praying mantis, a katydid, a caterpillar and a green lacewing turn a nature journal page into a real record of a walk through the garden, six small creatures to go with the garden pollinators you may already have on hand.
A green pickup truck, a green camper van, a green tractor, a green scooter, a green bicycle and a green delivery van bring a little motion to the set, six old vehicles in matching green paint.
Trees and Beginnings
A flower bulb, a seed pod, a sprouting seed, an acorn, a pinecone and a bean sprout make a quiet set about beginnings, six small objects that suit the start of a new journal or a planner’s first week.
Use a craft knife for the gaps between the branches on the willow and the pine, since small scissors tend to round off the thin inner points that give a tree its silhouette.
An oak tree, a willow, a pine, a birch, a palm and a fruit tree in blossom make up this sheet, six full trees rather than single leaves, good for a bigger page where you want more weight in one spot.
A green teacup, a matcha bowl, a mint tea glass, a green teapot, a lime tart and a pistachio cake lay out a small tea table on the page, six sweet and savory pieces that pair nicely with the bakery junk journal pages for a full afternoon tea spread.
Garden Gates and Stationery
An ivy trail, a grapevine, a hop vine, a clematis vine, a pea tendril and a bean vine trail across the sheet, six climbing plants that work best running down the spine of a journal page.
A wooden gate, a picket fence, a garden arch, a trellis, a birdhouse and a garden lantern frame a page the way they frame a real garden path, six structural pieces to pair with the vintage junk journal pages for an old garden gate spread.
A green journal, a green fountain pen, a green ink bottle, a green envelope, a green wax seal and a green pencil are sized to sit right beside your own handwriting, six desk pieces that suit the corner of a planner page or the back of an envelope.
A green armchair, a green lamp, a green velvet pillow, a green rug, a green clock and a green planter close out the set with a cosy indoor room, six pieces to go with the vintage kitchen pages if you want the whole house in green.
What to Do Next
Pick two or three sheets that suit the spread in front of you, print them at actual size, and let the rest of the set wait for the next page.
Frequently Asked Questions
What paper works best for these green vintage stickers?
Printable sticker paper gives you a true peel and stick finish, matte or glossy both work fine. Plain paper with a glue stick is just as good for journals where you want the piece to sit flat against the page.
What printer settings should you use?
Print at 100 percent or actual size, never fit to page, so every sticker stays the right scale next to the others. Choose the best quality or photo setting your printer offers to keep the thin ink outlines sharp.
How do you cut out small detailed stickers neatly?
Leave a thin white border around each piece rather than cutting right up to the ink line, it protects the edge and still looks tidy. A craft knife handles inner curves, like the gaps in the trellis or the fern fronds, better than scissors.
Can you use these stickers on gifts as well as in journals?
Yes, they work well on gift wrap, gift bags and the front of handmade cards, not just inside a journal. Sheets printed on sticker paper hold up better to folding and taping than glued plain paper.
How do you keep a set like this looking cohesive on a page?
Stick to two or three sheets per spread from the same group, such as the herb and glass sheets together, rather than mixing every theme at once. The shared green palette already ties the whole set together, so restraint in placement does the rest.
