This set of gingerbread gift tags free printable pages gives you nineteen sheets built for cookie tins, baking gifts and wrapped presents under the tree. Shapes run from gingerbread men and houses to stars, mittens and stockings, each paired with a small baking tool or sweet tucked into a corner: rolling pins, whisks, cinnamon sticks, gumdrops and more, so every tag has its own little detail.
Print the sheets on matte cardstock for tags that hold up to handling, or on sticker paper if you want a label you can press straight onto a box. Print at actual size rather than letting the printer scale to fit, then cut around each shape leaving a thin white edge so the ink line stays clean.
Using these images: free for personal projects such as printing, coloring, cards, journals and gifts. Handmade items that include them may be sold up to 30 pieces per design. More than that is commercial use and is not permitted, and neither is selling or sharing the images themselves or passing them off as your own. Please ask before any other use.
Classic Cookie Shapes
The gingerbread man tag wears a row of white icing buttons down the front, ready for a name or a short message on its blank chest. Pair it with the round gingerbread heart tag and the scalloped holly label for a cookie tin that mixes shapes without feeling cluttered.
Cut the gingerbread man slowly around the arms and legs since those corners are the easiest place for scissors to slip. A craft knife makes the inside curve of the heart tag cleaner than scissors ever will, especially if you print on thicker cardstock.
A house-shaped tag with icing snow drifted along the roofline sits well on a tin of cookies meant for a neighbor or teacher. The matching luggage tag carries a small rolling pin, the round tag holds a bundle of cinnamon sticks, and the ticket label shows a single gumdrop, so you have four small decorations to split across one gift.
Try the house tag on sticker paper if you want it to sit flat against a box lid instead of dangling. For a loose-leaf journal page, the ticket label works nicely as a pocket topper, holding a small note tucked halfway in.
Dotted icing traces the edge of the star-shaped gingerbread tag, a small detail that reads well even printed small. The oval tag beside it carries a whisk and the round tag holds a jar of molasses, both useful fillers for the corner of a card.
Write a baker’s note on the star tag, something like the cookie flavor or who rolled the dough, then use the molasses jar tag as a simple name label on the same gift. The two sheets share enough warmth in color that they read as a set even mixed loosely in a basket.
Four tags share this sheet: a gingerbread girl tag in a pink icing skirt, a square tag with a peppermint candy, a round tag with a cookie cutter, and a rectangular label dotted with nutmeg and cloves, enough variety to label an entire batch of mixed treats.
Baking Day Tags
The luggage tag here shows a tray of fresh cookies straight from the oven, good for a gift of a dozen still warm from baking. A round tag with a mixing bowl and a scalloped tag with a single star anise round out the set, both small enough to tuck under a ribbon knot.
If you keep a gingerbread junk journal going through the season, this trio makes a good corner decoration for a page about a baking afternoon. The mixing bowl tag also works as a stand-in recipe card if you leave the center blank for ingredients.
Icing stripes run across the mitten-shaped gingerbread tag the way they would on an actual knitted mitten, giving it a cosy winter feel beyond the cookie theme. The round tag holds a mug of milk, the arched tag a candy cane, and the ticket label a swirl of lollipop, four small shapes for a gift of cocoa and cookies together.
Glue the mitten tag onto plain kraft paper if you print it on plain paper rather than cardstock, which adds enough stiffness to hang it from a ribbon. The milk mug tag pairs easily with any of the cookie-shaped tags for a milk-and-cookies gift basket.
A scalloped tag carries a gingerbread reindeer, the round tag beside it shows a gingerbread tree dusted with sprinkles, and the oval tag holds a single cherry sitting on a cookie, three shapes that suit a tin of decorated cookies meant for sharing.
Kitchen Corner Tags
A circle label shows a small gingerbread church, quiet and detailed enough to sit on its own at the top of a card. The luggage tag beside it carries a sugar bowl, the round tag a vanilla pod, and the bracket label a sprig of rosemary, each a different texture of baking ingredient.
These four work well scattered through a tea party junk journal page or saved for a cookie exchange where guests take home a small printed card with their share. Leave the center of the circle label blank if you want to write in the name of whoever receives the gift.
The gingerbread house tag on this sheet has a bright candy door for color, the round tag shows a single red gumball, and the rectangular label carries an icing piping bag, a small set useful for labeling decorating supplies as well as gifts.
A cloud-shaped tag dusted with powdered sugar snow brings a softer shape into the set, useful when you want something other than a cookie outline. The luggage tag carries an oven mitt, the round tag a knob of ginger root, and the square tag a gingerbread snowflake, four shapes that cover both kitchen tools and holiday icons.
Leave the oven mitt tag plain on the back if you plan to write a baking time or oven temperature as a joke note for a baker friend. The snowflake tag reads well printed small, so it also works stamped onto the corner of plain wrapping paper as a repeating pattern.
A gingerbread bear tag wears a red icing scarf around its neck, the oval tag beside it shows a cookie jar, and the round tag carries a single marshmallow, three shapes that soften the set with a gentler, rounder style than the house and star tags.
Gift Wrap Trimmings
A round tag shows a wreath made of mini gingerbread cookies, a nice centerpiece shape for a gift tag on a large box. The ticket label carries a striped baking cup, the scalloped tag a sugared cranberry, and the luggage tag a small apron, enough variety to decorate a whole stack of presents from the same baking session.
Punch a hole at the top of the apron tag and loop it through a ribbon rather than taping it flat, which lets it sit forward on a round gift. The sugared cranberry tag makes a quietly elegant label if you keep the writing small and centered.
A star tag catches the eye with scattered gold sprinkles across the surface, the rectangular label shows a wooden spoon, and the round tag carries a gingerbread angel, three shapes suited to a gift meant to feel a little more formal than the rest of the set.
The gingerbread train car tag brings a playful shape to the sheet, good for gifts headed to children or for a cute Christmas doodles style card. The round tag shows a chocolate chip, the oval tag a tin of cocoa, and the square tag a small gift box cookie, four shapes that cover both sweets and tools.
Keep this sheet on plain paper and glue the tags onto colored cardstock if you want the train car to pop against a solid background. The gift box cookie tag works doubled up as a tiny label tucked inside an envelope along with a card.
A luggage tag shows a cooling rack lined with fresh cookies, the round tag beside it carries a gingerbread owl, and the scalloped label holds a small honey jar, a trio that fits a gift built around tea and baked goods together.
Cosy Holiday Tags
The gingerbread stocking tag has an icing cuff at the top, a shape that fits neatly on a small gift tucked into a larger stocking. The round tag carries a tiny teapot, the arched tag a lemon drop, and the ticket label a single cardamom pod, four shapes that lean toward the quieter, spiced side of the holiday.
Print this sheet on sticker paper if you want to press the teapot tag directly onto a jar of homemade tea blend rather than tying it on with string. The cardamom pod tag works well as a tiny recipe label if you write the spice measurements small inside the blank space.
A gingerbread cottage tag has a small heart cut into the window, the round tag beside it carries a mint leaf cookie, and the oval tag shows a stack of sugar cubes, three gentle shapes that suit a quieter, more rustic gift wrap style.
A gingerbread moon tag brings a quieter night-time shape into the set, paired with a luggage tag left blank as a small recipe card for whoever receives the gift. The round tag carries a strip of candy buttons and the bookmark strip shows a row of tiny icing stars, good for marking a page in a cookbook given as a gift.
Write a short family recipe straight onto the blank luggage tag before tucking it into the same tin as the cookies, so the gift comes with its own instructions. The bookmark strip also slips nicely between the pages of a fairytale illustration book if you are wrapping that as the gift itself.
A gingerbread snowman tag wears a peppermint candy hat, the round tag beside it shows a small butter dish, and the scalloped tag carries a curl of orange peel, three shapes that close out the set on a warm, citrus-spiced note.
What to Do Next
Print the sheets you need most first, cut a small stack ahead of wrapping day, and keep the rest folded flat in a drawer for cards and journal pages through the rest of the season.
Frequently Asked Questions
What paper works best for gingerbread gift tags?
Matte cardstock works best for tags that need to hold up on a tin or box, while printable sticker paper suits tags you want to press flat onto a surface without punching a hole.
What printer settings give the cleanest tags?
Set the printer to actual size rather than fit to page, choose the best or photo quality setting available, and let the ink dry fully for a minute before cutting so the lines stay crisp.
How do I cut the tags without ragged edges?
Small detail scissors handle the outer curves well, while a craft knife on a cutting mat gives cleaner results on tight inner curves like the heart tag or the house window, so keep both on hand.
Can I use these tags on something other than cookie tins?
Yes, the tags suit any wrapped gift, cards, jars of homemade mixes, or glued onto a junk journal page as a decoration, since each one leaves a blank space for writing.
Do the tags need a hole punched for ribbon?
Not necessarily, since the luggage tags and labels work taped or glued flat onto a box, but a small hole punch at the top lets you thread ribbon or twine through for hanging tags.
