Table of Contents
This diorama christmas village set turns one small town into eighteen separate pages, each shop or cottage tucked inside its own festive object so it opens like a tiny stage. Set them side by side and they read as a whole snowy high street, with a bakery, a tea room, a post office and a chapel all lit up and waiting for visitors. They are made for handmade cards and junk journal spreads, cut out and glued flat or raised on foam dots for a bit of lift.
Print on matte cardstock at actual size, then cut around each scene leaving a thin white edge so the shape stays crisp. Work through a few at a time rather than all eighteen in one sitting, and keep a little box of trimmings so stray snowflakes and tiny signs never go to waste.
Using these images: free for personal projects such as printing, coloring, cards, journals and gifts. Handmade items that include them may be sold up to 30 pieces per design. More than that is commercial use and is not permitted, and neither is selling or sharing the images themselves or passing them off as your own. Please ask before any other use.
Shops Around The Square
Setting out fresh stollen in the window of a gingerbread house, a young baker in an apron works while the snowy village square stretches out behind her, ready to anchor the whole set as the opening card of a row.
Give this one pride of place on a kraft card base with a narrow red mat, since it reads as the heart of the village and pairs naturally with any other shop in the street.
Serving scones to a visiting friend beside a frosted window, an elderly tea room keeper inside this teapot diorama makes a gentle, slow-paced card for a grandmother or a dear friend who loves her afternoon tea.
Trimming a winter bonnet with sprigs of holly, a young milliner works at her counter while sleighs glide past on the street behind, a scene bright enough to colour by hand with a little glitter on the ribbons.
Winding a tin train at the counter, an elderly shopkeeper inside this lantern diorama makes a lovely match with the hatbox milliner for a pair of cards sent together, one shop of trims and one shop of toys.
Market Stalls
Bundling poinsettias and holly at her little mitten-shaped stall, a young flower seller works with a skating pond glinting behind her, which makes this a cheerful page to anchor a junk journal spread about winter errands.
Print two copies and raise the front bundle of flowers on foam dots over the second copy for a bit of gentle depth on the card front.
Dipping tapers beside a warm stove, an elderly chandler keeps this candle box shop glowing, a quiet little scene worth colouring by hand with a touch of gold on the candle flames.
Weighing a parcel on a brass scale inside her gift box post office, a young clerk makes a practical, lovely card for anyone who has ever posted a present far from home, with a mail coach waiting in the snow behind.
Cosy Corners
Reading aloud to her cat beside a tall stack of storybooks, an elderly bookseller fills this stocking-shaped diorama with carolers singing just outside the frosted window, a gentle pairing for a journal page about story time.
Warming their hands by the hearth with mugs of mulled cider, a young couple settle into this sleigh bell shaped inn while horses rest in the snowy yard behind, a warm choice for a card to a newly married niece or daughter.
Filling glass jars with peppermints, an elderly sweet shop keeper fills this cookie tin diorama with sugared colour, and the decorated town tree glowing behind her makes it a natural match for the gingerbread bakery as a pair of cards.
Quiet Village Places
Arranging candles and greenery by the altar inside a tiny birdhouse chapel, a young woman prepares the space for an evening service while snowy fir trees stand watch behind the window, a fitting page for a nativity-themed card or journal spread.
Selling knitted hats and mittens from her wreath-shaped stall, an elderly vendor keeps this corner of the village busy with a carousel turning gently in the snow behind her.
Dancing together under strings of paper lanterns, a young couple fill this music box diorama with movement while snow drifts past the tall hall windows, a scene worth raising high on foam dots for extra depth on a wedding or anniversary card.
Print it twice and lift only the dancing couple from the second sheet so they stand slightly forward of the hall around them.
Daily Village Life
Stacking oranges and nuts into wooden crates, an elderly grocer keeps this jam jar shaped shop stocked for the season while a horse-drawn cart waits in the street outside, a nice everyday counterpart to the fancier shops in the set.
Winding the great clock by lantern light high above the rooftops, a young clockkeeper inside this tower diorama looks out over the whole snowy village below, a striking page to use as a cover for a village-themed journal spread.
Selling eggs and cheeses from behind a simple counter, an elderly farm shop keeper fills this milk churn diorama with a snowy barn and a small flock of sheep resting just behind her.
Crowning a yule log with meringue mushrooms, a young baker finishes her display inside this cake stand diorama while a frosty street glows at dusk behind her, making a sweet page for a card to a daughter who loves to bake.
Trimming their front porch with a fresh garland, an elderly couple close out the village in this church bell shaped cottage, with rooftops and a starry sky stretching behind them, a fitting last page for the whole set.

Frequently Asked Questions
What paper works best for this diorama christmas village set?
Matte white cardstock around 200 to 250 gsm gives the crispest cut and the truest colour. Avoid glossy photo paper, since it reflects light awkwardly once the diorama sits raised on a card front.
What printer settings should you use?
Print at actual size or one hundred percent scale, never fit to page, so every diorama matches the others in the set. Choose the best or photo quality setting if your printer offers one, for cleaner lines.
How do you make a diorama look three dimensional on a card?
Print the sheet twice, then cut the front figures or props from the second copy and raise them on foam adhesive dots over the first. This lifts the baker, the shopkeeper or the dancing couple slightly off the page.
What card size suits these village dioramas?
A standard A2 or 5 by 7 inch card base fits most of these scenes comfortably with room for a mat. Trim the diorama down slightly if your card base runs smaller, keeping the thin white edge intact.
Can these dioramas go into a junk journal instead of a card?
Yes, they work well as journal spread anchors, especially grouped two or three to a page to build a little street scene. Add washi tape borders or stitched edges around them to tie the page together.
