This christmas junk journal free printable kit gives you 37 pages built around one soft, coquette Christmas look: blush pink, cream and silver, with pearls, bows and a little bit of sparkle on every sheet. Inside you get 26 full scene pages, 5 seamless background patterns and 6 lined writing pages, so you can build a whole journal from one download without a single page repeating.
Print on heavyweight matte paper so the pink washes stay soft instead of soaking through, and set your printer to its best or photo quality for true colour. Trim each sheet to your journal size once printed, and keep a steady hand near the scalloped and bow-edged pages since those borders are part of the design.
Using these images: free for personal projects such as printing, coloring, cards, journals and gifts. Handmade items that include them may be sold up to 30 pieces per design. More than that is commercial use and is not permitted, and neither is selling or sharing the images themselves or passing them off as your own. Please ask before any other use.
Trees and Table Settings
Sets the tone for the whole journal, so place it as the very first page after your cover and let everything else follow its palette.
Glue a small recipe card beside it, a handwritten line for gingerbread icing or the cocoa you make while decorating.
Pairs well with the gingham background later in this set, laid under it on the facing page so the two sheets read as one dessert table.
One of the usual mistakes here is painting the macarons too evenly, so vary their shades of pink and let a few feet show crumb and texture for a more handmade look.
Catches the bubbles and a sprig of rosemary in the glass, a quiet toast of a page that sits well near any celebration spread.
Vanity and Bedroom Corners
Leave this page for a photo of your own vanity or dressing table at the holidays, glued directly onto the painted surface once printed.
The five minute version of this page only needs the bed and the lights strung above it, so skip the smaller details if you are short on time and let the glow carry the page.
Come back later and add a stocking at the foot of the bed once you have more patience for detail.
Try this question for the entry written beside it: what is the one gift you hope to find inside your own stocking this year.
Rings in a note of old glamour, the receiver resting beside a wrapped gift and a small dish of ribbon candy nearby.
Winter Outings
Tuck a shopping list or a ticket stub onto this one, the kind of small paper scrap that turns a pretty page into a real memory of the day.
Place this page facing the pearl strand background later in the set so the shop window and the pearls echo each other across the spread.
It works equally well as a stand alone page if you prefer to keep your spreads simple.
A common slip with skating scenes is painting the ice too flat, so leave a few pale streaks and reflections under her blades for real movement.
Suits a gift journal made for someone who loves giving as much as receiving, the sleigh itself piled with ribboned boxes of every size.
One short sentence for the entry here works best: describe the door you most want to knock on this December.
Ornaments and Small Treasures
Tear the edge of this page slightly before gluing it in, a small rough border that suits the softness of the slipper and the pine against it.
The usual mistake with a disco ball ornament is painting it as a flat circle, so let small facets of light and shadow break up its surface instead.
Hang it among pine sprigs rather than alone so the page still reads as a full scene.
Fits a gift journal made for someone who collects nutcrackers or loves a classic ballet, standing tall among small wrapped sweets at its feet.
Write a short list beside it, the names of everyone you plan to bake for this season, in the space left along the bottom edge.
A single line works well here: the twenty to thirty word kind that simply names the dog curled beside the gifts and the small pink bow tied at her ear.
Pair this page with the gingham background earlier in the set, laying the teacup directly over a printed gingham square for a cosy table feel.
A gentle bouquet page that suits anyone who finds comfort in flowers through winter, roses tucked among silvered pine needles and a loose ribbon tie.
Keep the five minute version simple: just the vase and the tulips, skipping any extra foliage if time is short before the page goes into your journal.
Place her facing the pink tree with pearl garland from the start of this set, so the two trees and the two bows echo across the spread.
She works just as well on her own if your layout calls for a single page instead.
Serves well as a page for listing gifts already bought or still needed, the ribbons and tags on the presents leaving plenty of visual room for your own notes nearby.
What would you ask for this year if nobody else ever read the letter. Answer that question directly on this page, in the space left beside the seal.
Background Papers
Use this one under a photo from a holiday party, as a lining behind a pocket page, or folded flat as a simple cover sheet. Small silver bows repeat evenly across a blush pink ground, light enough that handwriting still shows through if layered.
Good under a recipe photo, as a cover for a dessert section, or lining a simple fold near the gingerbread pages earlier in the set.
Works well behind a nighttime photo, as a cover sheet for a wish list page, or lining a simple pocket near the ballerina or disco ball pages. Small silver stars of two sizes scatter evenly across the sheet.
Use this as a cover for the whole journal, as a lining behind the pink tree scene, or under a group photo from a holiday gathering. Soft pastel baubles with tinsel caps repeat in loose rows.
Suits a bold cover page, a lining behind the gingerbread or cake pages, or a simple divider between sections of the journal. Pink and cream squares alternate in a steady checkerboard grid.
Lined Writing Pages
Good for a gift list, a wrapping paper shopping list, or notes on sizes and colours for everyone on your list this year. A small spray of pink roses sits in each corner.
Suits a holiday menu, a baking schedule, or a short note about who is bringing what to the table this year. A thin band of pearls runs down the left side.
Good for a letter to next year, a short wish for the months ahead, or a line about what you hope stays the same. Tiny silver bows frame the top edge.
Works for a memory from this season, a favourite moment from a party, or a short note about a gift that meant more than expected. A scalloped blush border edges the whole sheet.
Good for drafting thank you notes, listing who sent what, or jotting a reminder of cards still to send. A trail of tiny pink tulips winds along the bottom.
Suits a short list of hopes for the new year, a word to carry forward, or a line about what this Christmas felt like. Faint silver snowflakes drift along the right side.

Frequently Asked Questions
What paper works best for this christmas junk journal free printable kit?
Heavyweight matte cardstock works best, since it holds the pink washes without curling or letting ink bleed through. Anything from 90 to 110 pound cardstock prints cleanly and still folds well for a journal page.
What printer settings give the truest pink and silver tones?
Set your printer to its best or photo quality setting on plain or matte paper mode. This keeps the blush washes soft and the silver details crisp instead of grainy or faded.
What size should I print these pages at?
Standard US letter or A4 both work well, since every page is designed edge to edge at that ratio. Trim slightly after printing if your journal cover runs smaller.
Can I color or add to the printed pages?
Yes, a fine tip pen or a little extra watercolor works well over the printed washes for personal touches. Keep additions light so the original soft palette still shows through.
What do I use to glue the pages into a journal?
A craft glue stick gives the cleanest result without wrinkling the paper or showing through the front. Liquid glue works too if applied thinly and pressed flat right after.
