Table of Contents
This hot cocoa junk journal gathers 33 pages built around steaming mugs, marshmallow bars and fireside corners, the kind of cozy winter scenes that make a journal worth keeping on the coffee table. Inside the set are 23 scene pages, five seamless background papers and five lined writing pages, all painted edge to edge in one soft palette that ties the whole kit together.
Print on matte cardstock heavy enough to hold watercolour without curling, set your printer to its best or photo quality, and trim close to the edge if your paper has a white border. From there it is just glue, scissors and your own handwriting filling in the lined spreads between all that marshmallow and cocoa.
Using these images: free for personal projects such as printing, coloring, cards, journals and gifts. Handmade items that include them may be sold up to 30 pieces per design. Fireside and Porch Mugs
Picture a mug of cocoa piled high with marshmallows set on a plaid blanket, the fire glowing warm just behind it, a scene built for a quiet winter evening at home.
This cocoa bar page pairs well with the whipped cream and sprinkles lined page further on: glue a small tag listing your own mix-ins beside the jars, then write the recipe on the lined sheet facing it.
Two mugs of cocoa sit on a frosted windowsill, steam curling against the glass while snowy pines stretch out beyond the pane, a still moment worth keeping.
A common mistake with a delicate page like this one is crowding it with too much clutter around the teacup; keep the saucer simple so the gingerbread cookie and whipped cream stay the clear focus.
A kitten noses curiously at a cocoa mug set on a knitted throw, a lit candle glowing just beside them both, the sort of page that suits anyone who loves a quiet pet.
Kitchen Cocoa Scenes
Try the five minute version of this page by printing it as is and simply gluing it straight in, no extra trims needed since the copper pot, whisk and chocolate bars already fill the sheet.
A tray of cocoa mugs makes its way out to a snowy porch, a wooden sled leaning nearby, string lights glowing faintly against the falling snow behind it all.
Cocoa bombs dissolve slowly into steaming mugs, pink marshmallows and sprinkles floating up through the melting chocolate shell, a fun page for anyone who loves the newer cocoa trends.
A thermos of cocoa and a few mugs sit on a truck tailgate at a Christmas tree farm, freshly cut pines stacked nearby and a string of lights draped along the truck bed.
Try pairing this page with the marshmallow and candy cane stirrer lined page so the peppermint theme carries across the spread, then write about your favourite holiday candy on the facing sheet.
Family And Friends Cocoa
Two girls in pajamas hold mugs of cocoa beside a fully decorated Christmas tree, wrapped presents and twinkling lights filling the space around them.
Glue a small gift tag onto this page listing who the jar is for, since a mason jar of cocoa wrapped in twine makes a sweet handmade present idea worth noting down.
Enamel camp mugs of cocoa warm by a crackling campfire set in a snowy clearing, a stack of firewood and a lantern glowing softly nearby.
A pastel mug of cocoa gets topped with a marshmallow snowman, a cheerful detail that suits a page for a child’s journal or anyone who still loves a playful touch.
Try tea-staining the edges of this page lightly before gluing it in, since chocolate shavings, cinnamon sticks and a whisk beside a cocoa pitcher already carry a warm, well-used feel.
Cozy Corners And Nooks
What question could sit beside this page? Try asking what makes a winter evening feel complete, then answer it while picturing the armchair, cocoa mug and fuzzy socks lit by that warm lamp.
A golden retriever rests beside a side table holding a cocoa mug, a soft rug and a window of falling snow rounding out this gentle scene.
Place this page in a spread beside the cocoa bar page from earlier in the set, letting the cafe scene feel like a short trip out before returning home to the mugs and jars on the counter.

White hot chocolate topped with fresh raspberries sits in a glass mug on delicate lace, a softer and sweeter take on cocoa worth a page of its own.
Kids sip cocoa around a kitchen table while mittens dry nearby, boots kicked off by the door, the whole page capturing that happy exhaustion after an afternoon of sledding.
A mug of cocoa pairs with a slice of chocolate cake on a vintage china plate, a small fork resting beside it for a page that doubles as a dessert journal entry.
Grandmother pours cocoa from a porcelain pot into floral cups set on a tray, a scene that fits best in a gift journal made for an older relative who treasures family tradition.

Frequently Asked Questions
What paper works best for a hot cocoa junk journal?
Matte cardstock around 65 to 110 lb holds the watercolour look best without curling or bleeding through. Lighter paper works too if you plan to glue each page onto a sturdier backing sheet first.
What printer settings give the best results?
Set your printer to its best or photo quality with matte or cardstock paper selected in the settings menu. This keeps the fine ink outlines crisp and stops the soft pastel washes from looking patchy.
What size should I print these pages at?
Standard US letter or A4 suits most journal covers and binders without any resizing needed. Shrink pages slightly if your journal runs smaller, or trim the edges down after printing for a snug fit.
What do I use to colour or glue the pages?
Nothing needs colouring since every page prints in full colour already. A glue stick works well for flat pages, while the background papers make good pocket linings and cover wraps once trimmed to size.
Can I mix these pages with other winter printables?
Yes, these cocoa pages pair naturally with other cozy winter sets since the palette stays soft and seasonal. Mixing in snowy scenes or general winter pages widens the journal without clashing.
