Table of Contents
This vintage scrapbook paper set gathers 29 Victorian ephemera patterns for card makers and junk journalers who love an old-fashioned motif without the usual aged, browned look. Expect carriage toile, cabbage roses, lace doilies, damask, postage stamps, sewing notions and more, each kept crisp and light so it layers cleanly under photos, tags and stickers.
Print the full set on US Letter paper, either borderless or with a trim of the white edge, and use matte paper or cardstock for anything going into a journal spread. Every sheet repeats the same pattern edge to edge, so you can cut sections apart and still have the design read correctly on each piece.
Using these images: free for personal projects such as printing, coloring, cards, journals and gifts. Handmade items that include them may be sold up to 30 pieces per design. More than that is commercial use and is not permitted, and neither is selling or sharing the images themselves or passing them off as your own. Please ask before any other use.
Toile Scenes
Horse carriages rolling past country manors make a classic toile base for a journal page under a travel photo or pressed flower.
Ladies strolling with parasols through a formal garden give a card mat a storybook feel behind a cameo sticker or paper locket.
Small vignettes of birds among flowering branches suit a book cover or folio that wants a quieter, nature-leaning toile.
Florals and Sprigs
Faded pink cabbage roses fill this sheet edge to edge, a soft base for a journal page tucked behind a handwritten note.
Pansies and violets sit like pressed flowers across a lilac ground, good for lining a small envelope or pocket.
Soft green fern fronds spread in a botanical print that pairs well with the Cabbage Rose Bloom Paper for a garden theme spread.
Mixed small flowers in a dense chintz pattern wrap a small gift nicely when a single bold floral would feel too plain.
Violets climb a simple trellis lattice here, a calm choice for a card mat behind a small cut paper diorama.
Damask and Lattice
Curling acanthus leaves form a pale green damask that works well as a book cover for a journal with a formal feel.
Small fleurs set into a gray-blue damask make a quiet card mat behind a cameo sticker or a line of script.
Old lace and ribbon bows interlace across a lilac ground, a soft lining for a pocket page tucked with keepsakes.
A pale lilac watered silk texture carries tiny roses for a gentle gift wrap when the parcel is small and delicate.
Lace and Notions
A lace doily pattern repeats edge to edge on soft blue, ideal for lining the inside of an envelope or small pocket.
Victorian fans and lace gloves scatter across pale pink, a fitting card mat behind a small paper fan embellishment.
Silver thimbles, spools and scissors scatter over blush, a natural partner to the Doily Lace Repeat Paper for a sewing-themed spread.
Antique buttons in mixed pastels toss loosely across white, useful as a journal page base beneath a stitched embellishment.
Pastel Keepsakes
Soft gray cameo silhouettes sit in oval frames arranged in a neat grid on blush, a tidy base for a portrait-style card mat.
Gold rimmed teacups with roses toss across white, a charming lining for a small envelope tucked into a tea-themed journal.
Cherubs and rose garlands drift across soft pink, a gentle card mat behind a locket sticker or a paper cameo.
Postal Keepsakes
Blank postage stamp shapes carry tiny flower pictures tossed on white, a fun base for a journal page about old letters, and it pairs well with the Envelope And Wax Seal Paper below.
Envelopes with wax seals scatter across pale blue, a fitting pocket lining for tucking in real folded notes.
Victorian keys and keyholes scatter across pale aqua, good for a journal page that keeps a secret or a locked diary theme.
Seashells and coral arrange like a cabinet of curiosities on white, a seaside note tucked among the softer florals of this set.
Checks and Stripes
Thin rose and sage ticking stripes give a plain background to a card mat that already carries a busy sticker or cameo.
Wallpaper stripes of tiny roses alternate with pale green bands, a steady choice for a book cover on a floral journal.
A pale pink and white houndstooth gives the set a quieter geometric sheet for wrapping a small gift without any florals.
A pastel paisley in pink, green and blue rounds out the geometric sheets, pairing well with the ticking stripe paper on a mixed card mat.
Garden Creatures
Hummingbirds dart among fuchsia blossoms on pale mint, a lively base for a journal page under a nature photo.
Vintage birdcages trail climbing roses across soft aqua, a fitting cover for a garden-themed vintage junk journal full of pressed petals and old letters.
What to Do Next
Print the sheets you like best, trim them down and start layering them into your next journal spread or card project, pairing toile with stripes or roses with lace for contrast.
Frequently Asked Questions
What paper weight works best for these printable vintage scrapbook papers?
A weight between 24 and 32 lb works well for most uses. Lighter paper suits card mats and envelope linings, while a heavier cardstock around 65 lb holds up better as a journal cover or folio.
Should I print these patterns borderless or with a white edge?
Either works, since every sheet repeats its pattern edge to edge. Borderless printing fills the full page, while trimming a thin white border first gives a cleaner edge for gluing into a journal.
Can I print this vintage scrapbook paper set on A4 instead of US Letter?
Yes, A4 prints these patterns just fine, since the repeat is designed to fill the page edge to edge. Expect a slightly narrower margin on A4 since its proportions differ a little from US Letter.
Can I use these sheets as gift wrap instead of scrapbook paper?
Yes, several sheets suit gift wrap well, especially the ticking stripe, houndstooth and watered silk patterns. Print a few copies and tape the edges together for a larger parcel if one sheet does not cover it.
How do I keep these vintage-style papers looking crisp and not aged?
Print on bright white matte paper rather than cream or recycled stock, since the patterns are drawn clean and light on purpose. Store finished sheets flat away from sunlight so the colors stay true.
