Table of Contents
This vintage valentine pattern set brings the look of an old diner tablecloth straight to your printer, all cherry red, candy pink and aqua teal on crisp white, mint and pale grounds. Inside you get 19 sheets built from heart telephones, winking cupids, candy hearts, lovebirds, big-eyed lambs and kittens, plus gingham, stripes and a damask medallion to anchor the set.
Use them as journal page bases, card mats, pocket linings or gift wrap for a small box of chocolates. Print on US Letter, borderless if your printer allows it or trimmed to the edge afterward, and choose a matte paper for anything that will take glue or writing.
Using these images: free for personal projects such as printing, coloring, cards, journals and gifts. Handmade items that include them may be sold up to 30 pieces per design. More than that is commercial use and is not permitted, and neither is selling or sharing the images themselves or passing them off as your own. Please ask before any other use.
Hearts and Candy
Small red hearts line up inside a polka-dot grid on white, giving you a quiet base for a photo heavy journal page without fighting the picture for attention.
Blank candy hearts in pink, mint and white scatter across pale aqua, ready to letter your own short words on by hand once printed and trimmed.
Heart shaped lollipops and twist wrapped candies cover white edge to edge, a cheerful base under a sticker or a cut-paper cupcake on a card mat.
Little heart shaped boxes of chocolates scatter over pale pink, a fitting wrapper for a small real gift of sweets or a liner for a keepsake box.
Lipstick kiss marks and tiny hearts dot a white ground, a playful mat behind a photo booth style portrait or a cut-out envelope flap.
Cupids and Love Notes
Winking heart shaped telephones trail curly cords across pale pink, a fun pocket lining for folded notes tucked inside a vintage junk journal spread.
Cupids with bows and arrows toss across white in every direction, a lively cover for a small valentine themed folio or mini album.
Love letters and heart shaped postage stamps toss over white, a natural base for an envelope or a pocket page holding old correspondence.
Bees carry little hearts in their legs across pale aqua, a sweet pairing with the lovebirds paper from this same set on a two page spread.
Florals and Birds
Red roses with small leaves repeat in a half-drop pattern on white, a classic floral base behind a pressed flower or a handwritten quote card.
Lovebirds perch among little hearts on pale pink, a soft page base for wedding mementos or an anniversary scrapbook corner.
Cherries and hearts toss across mint in a cheerful mix, a bright gift wrap for a small jar of candy or a birthday treat box.
Big-eyed lambs hold heart balloons on pale aqua, a gentle choice for a baby shower card mat or a kid friendly valentine craft.
Kittens hug big hearts on mint, an easy pick for a child’s valentine card or a playful pocket inside a sewing themed journal spread.
Checks, Stripes and Damask
Pink and red gingham carries tiny white hearts at the crossings, a simple base layer under a torn paper border or a washi tape frame.
Thin cherry red and pink stripes run the length of the sheet with tiny hearts tucked between, pairing well with the gingham paper for a layered card.
Red and aqua atomic starbursts scatter with hearts on white, a fun cover for a retro style folio or the base of a diner themed layout.
Scalloped heart medallions repeat in a damask pattern on pale pink, a formal finish for a book cover or the back panel of a handmade card.
Lace doily hearts print in rows across pale pink, a delicate lining for a keepsake envelope or a mat behind a paper doily cutout on a card.
What to Do Next
Pick a few patterns that pair well, print a test sheet first to check your printer’s color, then trim and build out your valentine cards, pockets and journal pages from there.
Frequently Asked Questions
What paper weight works best for these printable patterns?
A weight between 65 lb and 110 lb cardstock works best for durability and clean folding. Lighter paper suits envelope linings and pockets, while heavier cardstock holds up better as card mats or gift wrap.
Can I print these patterns borderless?
Yes, if your printer supports borderless printing on US Letter. Otherwise print with the default margin and trim the thin white edge off with a paper trimmer so the pattern runs to the edge.
Should I use A4 or US Letter paper?
These sheets are sized for US Letter, so A4 printing will leave a small white margin on two sides. Set your printer to scale to fit the page if A4 is your only option, or trim after printing.
Can I use these patterns as gift wrap?
Yes, several sheets suit small gift wrap, especially the chocolate box, lollipop and starburst patterns. Print a few sheets, line them up and tape the edges together for a size larger than a single page.
How do I keep the colors looking right when printed?
Choose matte cardstock over glossy photo paper for truer color and easier gluing. Check your printer settings for a photo or best quality mode so the cherry red and aqua teal stay saturated rather than faded.
