Hi, I’m Lena. Pink Creative Crab is where I share drawing and painting ideas for beginners, plus guides to watercolor, pencil, acrylic, gouache and oil.
I’m not a professional artist. I draw and paint at home because I love it, and I visit exhibitions whenever I can to see paintings up close. I started this site for people in the same spot: you have a pencil or a set of paints, you want to make something, and you need an idea that is easy enough to finish.
Most posts are a list of ideas on one subject, like dogs in pencil or ocean scenes in watercolor. Each idea has an example image and a short note on how to approach it. The Guides section goes into more depth on the basics, such as shading techniques and how the painting mediums compare.
The example images in the posts are digital references made for this site. Use them as a starting point for your own drawings.
